World Record on a Moving Car @ Cardiff Airport!

Posted on

I wanted to challenge myself to a super crazy Guinness World Record attempt! I thought why not add a car in to the mix!?…and not just a parked car…let’s do something where the car is moving!

So after a few weeks of planning and reasearch from Guinness World Records I opened up a new Guinness World Record for ‘The longest time to juggle a football using the soles of the feet on a moving car’ – Perfect!

The next step was to sort out a location where we could drive the car in a perfectly straight line for a really unknown amount of time, giving this is not the kind of thing I practice on a regular basis…infact it’s not something I had ever practiced or even tried – I just liked the idea of it! First thing that come in to mind was an airport runway, what also come along with that thought is that planes regular use these apparently? Anyway I went along with my first idea got in touch with Cardiff Airport and after a few meetings and risk assesments we agreed a date to trial the record! Fair to say the trial went extremely well so we booked in a date for the actual record attempt on the airport runway.

So I arrived at the airport on the attempt date along with some tv crews and press who had been invited to cover the record attempt, it turned out to be a very windy, foggy and cold day which were not ideal conditions at all but obviously determinded to set the new record we got on with it! The first few attempts were extremely tough, with the car moving at around 15mph and the crosswinds on the runway catching the football at the wrong times while I was juggling it, it proved to be a difficult task! BUT in the end we did get there and you are going to have to check out the video below to see teh final result! 🙂
