A Day At Barnsley FC

Posted on

STEWARDI spent a day at Oakwell Stadium, the home of Barnsley Town Football Club. I started off the day with doing a few bits of freestyle for guts in the hospitality areas, entertaining them as they made their way in to the stadium followed by a display on what was called a stage but was more of a step in one of the hospitality rooms – this went down great with the audience engaging with the freestyle and enjoying the skills.

After this I took a short walk down to the concourse area where I started to perform some freestyle skills and play against some of the fans in 1v1 ‘Panna’ or ‘Nutmeg’ games where we had to try and get the ball through each others legs, tis turned out to be a lot of fun on the day with everybody wanting to challenge the freestyler!

Dring Half Time I was undercover (once again) but this time as a security guard/steward, and after the match day mascots had taken their penalties I jumped in to take a penalty myself but before doing that I thought a few tricks and skills added in to the mix would be a nice touch! After pulling out a few tricks and skills I set myself up for a volley where I connected with the ball delightfully but only managed to hit the post! But with a big gasp and round of applause from the Barnsley crowd I think it was a job well done!
